We are off to a rousing start this fall! In the words of one member … “I found the fall 2026 program at TFVA to be simply dazzling! So many fantastic events, and I wish I could attend them all”.

Speaking of events …
We welcomed 136 to our September 22 opening session at The Trinity Lawson Centre for Sustainability. In that new and beautiful space we heard a stimulating talk from Sara Angel, Founder and Executive Director of the Art Canada Institute. Sara provided us with a  framework to  guide our thinking and approach to contemporary art. Many found it helpful during the session. Sara graciously provided her framework to us. You can find that HERE.

Upcoming invitation … Monday December 7, 2026
You are invited to the Donalda Club for our Holiday Luncheon and Social.  We have selected the beautiful property of the Donalda Club as spaces we have used in past are undergoing renovations. While it may be further afield for some, when you arrive there is oodles of free parking!  Watch for the invitation which is coming soon and consider car pooling.

You responded!
A hearty thanks to all 156 of you (well over half our members) who took your time to respond to our recent survey. That is a terrific response rate! We will share the highlights once we have had a chance to review your ideas thoroughly.

Our 2025 Founders Achievement Awardee Dr. Gerald McMaster!
TFVA offers congratulations to Gerald upon the publication of Art, Truth and Reconciliation. This ACI digital publication explores how Indigenous artists and Survivors have responded to the history and ongoing legacy of Canada’s residential schools. Recommended reading for us all! You can find it HERE.
