Note From the President

NOTE FROM the PRESIDENT

In the flurry of the holidays, you may not have had time to read our December ‘Prize Winners in the News’ email. The first item had a link to Art Canada Institute’s (ACI) December 9 Newsletter honouring the 2022 winners of ‘Canada’s most prestigious art awards’. TFVA and our Artist Prize Award to Ghazaleh Avarzamani was highlighted—we have made it into the BIG LEAGUES! This is wonderful recognition of our 25 years of giving to our prize winners. I hope you all feel very proud!

ACI was founded and is lead by Sara Angel, whom we have supported—many of us subscribe to her newsletter.

See the article below. You can read more in-depth information by clicking on the links. Great News!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

CORRECTION:

In our December issue of ‘Prize Winners in the News’, we highlighted Vanessa Dion Fletcher, one of the artists in the prize-winning exhibition, Undeliverable. We had named an incorrect gallery—it took place at the Robert McLaughlin Gallery in Oshawa. We apologize for this error.
