Claire Greenshaw – Artist Prize 2026
Claire Greenshaw‘s work will be included in the upcoming group show Colourful Parachutes: Imagining Alternative Futures Through the Power of Play at The PowerPlant Contemporary Art Gallery. Visitors will be invited to gradually erase Greenshaw’s large scale hand-drawn graphite drawing of the Athabasca Glacier over the duration of the exhibition, on from April 24th until September 7, 2026.
Alexa Hatanaka – Artist Prize 2023
In The Globe and Mail Style Advisory magazine March 13, 2026 issue profiling New York City’s Trotter & Sholer Gallery, owned by Canadian Jenna Ferrey Odessa Paloma Parker observes that Alexa Hatanaka is one of the artists that the gallery shows.
Tau Lewis – Artist Prize 2019
Jerry Saltz has posted a video on YouTube in which he heaps praise upon Tau Lewis’ monumental sculpture, The Handle of the Axe, at the recently opened addition to the New Museum, New York City.
AA Bronson – Founders Achievement Award 2002
A new book, titled Fire Island Art:100 Years edited by John Dempsey, features an essay by AA Bronson connecting the works of major art stars to the queer culture and history of Fire Island.

Christina Leslie – Artist Prize 2026
On the South Facade Billboard at the Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery, until September 7, 2026, is Christina Leslie’s Pinhole 11 from her Pinhole Parishes (2023-25) series. The work explores memory, place and intergenerational connection through the lens of her Jamaican heritage.
Shaheer Zazai – Artist Prize 2024
A digital print on watercolour paper by Shaheer Zazai is one of the donated works available at auction at ArtGems 2026 to be held in the evening on May 7, 2026 at Liberty Grand Entertainment Complex.
SAVAC – Project Support 2023
On April 12, 2026 SAVAC presented Monitor 16: Shadows Swept Far Away, in its longstanding experimental film and video program in partnership with Images Festival at Innis Town Hall, University of Toronto.
Oreka James – Artist Prize 2021
On April 4, 2026, Oreka James participated in an artist talk about her work and process titled On Earthing and Petrichor at Capsules Artists Studios.
Esmaa Mohamoud – Artist Prize 2019
Work by Esmaa Mohamoud is included in a new group exhibition Game On at the Aga Khan Museum which looks at games and sport in culture over time. The exhibition ends September 7, 2026.
Abbas Akhavan – Artist Prize 2012
At Oakville Galleries Centennial Square, cut seasonal flowers selected monthly by Akhavan are displayed in a floral refrigerator as part of an exhibition Les Fleurs de Mal on until May 23, 2026. Issue 170 of Border Crossings Magazine, which will be available soon, will include an interview with Abbas Akhavan.
Adam David Brown – Artist Prize 2009
The work of Adam David Brown was included in a group show On Time at Gallery 1065 which ran from April 2 – 12, 2026.
Edward Burtynsky – Founders Achievement Award 2008
An exhibition of exceptional photographs by Edward Burtynsky in The Vault Collection will be on view at Nicholas Metivier Gallery from May 2 – 30, 2026.

Oluseye – Artist Prize 2026
A sculptural installation by Oluseye “The value of my dreams will not drown me” (2023) was featured in Manif d’art 12 – Québec City Biennale: Briser la glace / Splitting the Ice, curated by Didier Morelli and located at Espace Quatre Cents, Old Port of Québec. The Biennale ran from February 28, 2026 until April 19, 2026.
Oluseye’s exhibition Negro Crossing was on view at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia until April 19, 2026.
Shaheer Zazai – Artist Prize 2024
In Community We Grow, a floral vine sculpture installation by Shaheer Zazai on the exterior of the Gerry Wright Operations and Maintenance Facilitycan now be seen from Whitemud Road in Edmonton. It is a new addition to the City of Edmonton’s public art landscape.
Couzyn van Heuvelen – Artist Prize 2024
Photographs of fishing expeditions, including work by Couzyn van Heuvelen, have been collected by B.C.’s Coquitlam Art Gallery and are on view at the Evergreen Art and Cultural Centre until the end of August, 2026.
Nadia Belerique – Artist Prize 2015
Recent work by Nadia Belerique was shown by Daniel Faria Gallery at Plural Art Fair in Montreal from April 10-12, 2026.

Maria Hupfield – Artist Prize 2023
At Site Santa Fe in Sante Fe, New Mexico, Indian Theater: Native Performance, Art and Self Determination since 1969, a group exhibition curated by Candice Hopkins includes work by Maria Hupfield. It is on view from June 5 to September 7, 2026.
Sandra Brewster – Artist Prize 2018 and
Chris Curreri – Artist Prize 2011
Counterpublic 2026: Coyote Time, the triennial exhibition in St Louis, Missouri from September 12 to December 12, 2026, will include work by 47 international artists, including Sandra Brewster and Chris Curreri.
